Itinerary

DAY 1: Kilimanjaro International Airport  to Arusha

You’ll need to organize your own flights to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). From JRO we will arrange a private transfer to your hotel in Arusha. That night or early the next morning you will meet your local Karibu Africa Safaris representative and have a full briefing on your Safari As local Tanzania’s our guides know the country with unrivaled familiarity, so you’ll be in good hands from the moment you land to the moment you leave

DAY 2: Tarangire National Park

You’ll be picked up from your Arusha hotel or Kilimanjaro/Arusha Airport then take a 3-hour driver to Tarangire National Park. You will have a full-day game drive inside this park and have your hot lunch inside the park. Later you will drive to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

It’s the national park with herds of up to 300 elephants scraping the waterless river bed for alternative streams, while nomadic wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest, and eland mass at the decreased lagoons. It has the most concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem, a smorgasbord for predators. It’s also the one place in Tanzania where dry-country antelope such as the stately fringe-eared oryx and peculiar long-necked gerenuk are regularly practical. Additionally, it is the only national park that holds the migrant during the dry season and welcomes home different species of animal.

DAY 3: Lake Manyara National Park

In the early morning, we will continue our journey to Lake Manyara National Park. The park encompasses the northwest bank and part of the Lake Manyara which itself rests in the Great Rift Valley. The park is perhaps best known for its flamingos, pelicans, and cormorants but it is also the home for hundreds of other bird species; it is, therefore, a paradise for ornithologists. With a bit of luck, you might see elephants and with even more fortune the tree-climbing lions. It was thought for a long time that Lake Manyara is the only place where lions can be found with this behavior of climbing trees. Baboons and velvet monkeys are found in the forested areas and giraffes nibble at the fresh leaves while the various types of antelopes search for tasty shoots.
After the game drive, you will proceed to your accommodation.

DAY 4: Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport

Your driver will drop you off at Kilimanjaro International Airport in good time for your flight.
