“Majestic Tanzania Safari“

Itinerary

Day 1: KIA to Arusha

On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a representative from Karibu Africa Safaris. After completion of immigration procedures, he will transfer you to your accommodation where you can relax, have dinner, and have a good night’s rest.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, you depart for Tarangire National Park. The drive will take us through the city of Arusha then out to Maasai land where you can see Maasai grazing cattle and goats. Enjoy the game drive through the park which covers an area of 2,850 km²and is famous for its large herd of elephants, some over 100 in number; and large baobab trees that dot the landscape as you head to your accommodation.

DAY 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Have an early breakfast, then depart for Serengeti National Park. The drive will take you through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, have a stop at the Crater View Point, where on a clear day you get to see all the way around the crater. you will then proceed to Serengeti, but have a stop on the way for your packed lunch and gate clearance, followed by a game drive en route to your accommodation. The Serengeti covers an area of 14,763 square kilometers of grassland savanna, river trine forest, and woodlands located in Mara region Northwest Tanzania, and it’s very famous for its annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. It is divided into three regions; Serengeti plains, almost treeless grassland where wildebeest breed on the plain Dec-May; Western corridor, where black clay soil covers the savanna; and Northern Serengeti landscape dominated by open woodland.

Day 4: Full Day Serengeti Tour

A full day of game drive exploring the vast Serengeti and all that it has to offer; enjoying the different habitats found in the park full of different animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, hippos, impala, zebras, wildebeest, Grant’s gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, and many others. Serengeti also prides itself on its birdlife, boasting a variety of bird species that decorate the park with their different colors and sounds. The sheer size of the park and its changing scenery make it a day worth remembering to any visitor to this iconic part of Tanzania.

DAY 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority

Today you have an early morning, and after breakfast at the camp set off to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a full day crater tour, enjoying the beautiful scenery and game driving at the same time. The main feature of NCA is the Ngorongoro crater the world’s largest inactive and unfilled volcanic caldera formed when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed 3 million years ago. with a floor depth of 610 meters covering 260 km2, the crater supports approximately 25,000 large animals, including the rare black Rhino. Lunch is at the picnic site next to a hippo pool, and later start the ascend to your accommodation for the night.

DAY 6: Ngorongoro to Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park with packed lunch for a game drive. As you enter the park, the drive takes you through a lush forest and then out to open grassland and the lake edge. The birdlife in this park is a bird watcher’s paradise, with many endemic species. You can also expect to see a variety of animals, such as impala, elephants, dik-dik, bushbuck, hippos, and, if you’re lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara.

DAY 7: Lake Manyara, back to Arusha

After breakfast, you will head back to Arusha for the transfer to the airport in good time for your flight. If time allows, you can stop for some souvenir shopping on the way.
